Foreign Rights Assistant

The Quarto Foreign Rights department is looking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic, determined, positive, commercial person who is ready to take the next step in their career by joining a leading Rights Team as a Foreign Rights Assistant.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our co-edition and royalty deals run smoothly across all of the Quarto lists – from the moment the deal is done to when books are delivered. This will involve working effectively with multiple internal departments, sending files and working copies, and answering any questions customers may have accurately and promptly.

You will also assist the Spanish, Italian and Portuguese language sales team, by sending out sales material and helping with trip/book fair preparation as required.

You will have all the organisational skills needed to efficiently multi-task in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects, priorities and customers and be able to collaborate effectively with internal colleagues.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good knowledge of Microsoft office and an interest in learning new skills.

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Italian, Portuguese language; both written and conversational.
  • Outstanding commercial awareness, organisational, communication, costumer focus & internal influencing skills.
  • Capacity to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Organisation and ability to collaborate efficiently with internal/external colleagues in a busy and fast-paced environment
